Landinfra is planning to establish a solar park outside Frödinge, approximately eight kilometres east of the town of Vimmerby in Vimmerby Municipality. The operational area for the solar park amounts to 30 hectares on the property Vimmerby Frödinge 1:1.

The facility has a potential capacity of approximately 21 MW. Annually, this would correspond to an electricity production of up to about 22 GWh, equivalent to the yearly household electricity consumption of around 4 400 homes.

The permit application for the project, including the related investigations, consultation report, and environmental impact assessment, was submitted during the third quarter of 2025. The project is currently being processed by the permitting authority.

Landinfra is continuously working on the technical design of the project to ensure the best possible design. In parallel, Landinfra is investigating the conditions for connecting the project to the power grid together with the electricity grid owner.
